Charlotte grew up in the local area and always knew she wanted to work for Girlings. Before starting her Training Contract, she worked as a Paralegal in our Family Law Department from March 2023.
Charlotte graduated with a first-class degree in Law from the University of Liverpool. After moving back to Kent, Charlotte worked at some well-known firms in the local area to gain specialist experience of Family Law. At the same time, she completed her Legal Practice Course (LPC) with Joint Masters (LLM) at the University of Law London Bloomsbury, achieving a Distinction.
Charlotte completed her first Training Contract seat with our Employment Team in Ashford. She then joined the Wills, Tax & Estate Administration Department for her second seat in March 2024.
Charlotte understands the importance of client relationships and when shadowing a Financial Dispute Resolution Hearing (FDR) she was praised by the client for her friendly and engaging approach: “Please also pass on my thanks to Charlotte as she kept the dialog moving along both on and off topic all day and made the day seem a lot shorter than it was.”
Outside of work, Charlotte is the Captain of Margate Lawn Tennis Club and competes all over Kent. Last Summer, Charlotte and her sister were runners-up in the Kent Championships at Bromley Tennis Centre – the home club of Emma Raducanu.
Charlotte is also a Level 2 Qualified Tennis Coach and in 2016 was picked as one of the top Ten coaches in England to attend the National Talent Camp at Loughborough University.
