Ovid joined Girlings in February 2020 from a well established High Street practice in Orpington. Prior to qualification, Ovid worked with a number of national companies dealing mostly with litigated and non-litigated insurance claims.
Ovid is an affiliate member of the Society for Trust and Estate Planners (STEP), and has been awarded an Advanced Certificate in the Administration of Estates, following examination. STEP is an international professional organisation for practitioners specialising in family inheritance and succession planning and members are recognised as experts in their field, with proven qualifications and experience. Ovid intends to become a fully accredited member of STEP, following completion of further examinations. He is also Secretary of the Dementia Action Alliance for Canterbury and Ashford (DAACA).
Ovid’s clients have commented on his ability to make what would seem a very complicated matter, simple and straightforward. His professional, empathetic approach ensures clients feel listened to and, leave with a solution that is tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.

As a Dementia Friend Champion at his previous firm, Ovid worked to encourage his colleagues and members of the public to become Dementia Friends, an initiative by the Alzheimer’s Society to raise awareness of dementia. He has also worked with charities and business in planning events for the Dementia Awareness Week.
Ovid graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester with a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree, before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Guildford. Outside of the office Ovid, is a keen amateur musician, playing trombone (somewhat averagely) in a number of bands.
