Clare moved to Canterbury in 2009 to study Law at the University of Kent, graduating in 2012. Whilst at University, Clare was a member of the Kent Law Clinic where she assisted with a personal injury trial and an employment law dispute.
After graduating, Clare worked at Cafcass, the children, family court advisory service, where she gained insight into the complexities of family law. She then gained experience in various London law firms as a commercial litigation paralegal, where she assisted lawyers in running large High Court trials and mediations. During this time, she completed the Legal Practice Course part-time at BPP Law School, graduating with a Distinction in 2017.
Clare moved back to Canterbury in 2021 and joined Girlings as a secretary in the Commercial Property team, assisting on all aspects of commercial and residential transactions including purchases, sales, commercial refinances, remortgages and leases. She became a Paralegal in the same team in January 2022, and then started her training contract in September 2022. She has since completed training seats in Commercial Property and Dispute Resolution, and currently sits with the Wills, Tax & Estate Administration team.
In her spare time, Clare enjoys reading, exercise and spending time with friends and family.
