Following a highly successful career within the Legal Aid arena advising on Criminal, Family and Landlord & Tenant Law – with two reported cases in the Legal Action Group Journal; 2007/2008 editions, Benson v Lewisham LBC and Mangion v Lewisham LBC EWCA Civ 1353 - Louise made the decision to specialise in the Private Client area. This decision was fuelled by a desire to help clients who are often dealing with very testing times in their lives.
Louise obtained an LLB degree in law from the University of Greenwich and was awarded a commendation upon completing the Legal Practice Course at the Inns of Law School of Law.
Undertaking her training contract in the heart of London, Louise worked initially within the Legal Aid field. On qualifying in 2005 Louise specialised in Landlord & Tenant law which often involved working late into the night taking emergency judicial review applications against local authorities for failures to discharge statutory duties towards vulnerable people who were homeless and on the streets. As these applications were taken outside of the normal court hours it entailed contacting the duty judges at home to ensure that her vulnerable clients were housed thus preventing them from having to spend another night on the street.
Louise also has experience of representing defendents within civil litigation disputes in the County Courts and High Courts.
Away from the office Louise enjoys watching all types of sports and will often be found walking the Saxon Shore Coastal path with her two dogs.
