Watch the video putting #childrenfirst...
23 November marked the beginning of Resolution’s biggest public-facing campaign of the year, Family Dispute Resolution Week. Resolution is an organisation of 6,500 lawyers and other professionals who are committed to a constructive, non-confrontational approach to Family Law matters.
Kicking off the week, Resolution released the results of a poll they had commissioned earlier in the year among 500 children and young people about their experience of parental divorce. The polling found that around eight out of ten children and young people with experience of parental separation or divorce would prefer their parents to split up if they are unhappy, rather than stay together; the resounding message is 'don’t stay together for our sake' - for full details of this polling see the Resolution website).
Resolution have also released the video below aimed at people going through separation with advice on the impact divorce can have on children.
