Government commits to 6th April 2022 for introduction of Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Act
News

The date is disappointingly later than Autumn 2021 as originally indicated and is thought to be to allow time for the necessary IT changes to be made to HMCTS’s online divorce systems. Girlings Family Law team are all members of Resolution, a community of family justice professionals who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way. Resolution has championed the call for 'No Fault Divorce' for many years and the team is delighted that there is now certainty over the introduction of this important and long awaited reform.
