Girlings Solicitors Ashford & District 10K
Girlings is delighted to have sponsored the Ashford & District RRC 10K for the first time this year. This popular and well respected event, run by Ashford & District Running Club and organised by Nice Work, a specialist race management company, effectively kick starts the marathon season. Partner, and Head of Employment, Carl Vincent and Corporate & Commercial Solicitor, Jamie Bourne, took the opportunity to take part in the run as well as raise £400 for Girlings’ corporate charity, Martha Trust. Both came in with a time of just over 42 minutes, with Jamie coming in 52nd and Carl 56th out of a field of almost 600 runners – we are all impressed!

Canterbury Legal Walk
Team Girlings took part in the Legal Walk, a 10km sponsored walk around Canterbury on Saturday, 11 June 2016. The team raised over £350 for the Kent Law Clinic and all money raised will go towards funding The Kent Law Clinic, a partnership between students, academics and solicitors and barristers in practice locally. The Clinic provides a public service for local people who need legal advice and representation but cannot afford to pay for it, and also gives students in the Kent Law School direct experiences of legal practice.
