Guests of Canterbury BID enjoyed an evening of art, history and delicious cheese last night at the monthly Canterbury Business Improvement District networking reception, which this time was hosted by Lilford Gallery, Palace Street, Canterbury.
Guests were treated to a tour of the gallery with works by Banksy, Grayson Perry and David Hockney among others.
A guided tour of Palace Street was then delivered by a Canterbury Tour Guide who told guests about the murder of Archbishop Thomas Becket, as well as highlighting the importance of some of the Tudor buildings dotted along the street and reminded us of the rich the history of The Kings School, reputedly one of the oldest educational establishments in the world dating back to 597 AD, which has a site located in the area.
We are delighted to support these events, bring the business community in Canterbury together to share knowledge, experience, and good company. Thank you to all those who attended.
Girlings attendees included: Ovid Busette, Nathan Dady, Elesha Bradford & Tracy Furminger
