Dementia Friend Champion and Paralegal in Girlings' Private Client department, Charlotte Parsons, is running a series of ‘Dementia Friends’ Information sessions for staff across the Firm's three offices.
The sessions aim to tackle the stigma and lack of understanding around dementia and encourage staff to become a Dementia Friend.
Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, talks and acts about the condition. The charity's aim is to have four million Dementia Friends with the know-how to help people with dementia feel understood and included in their community.
Charlotte has already run a session for staff at the Herne Bay office and today staff at the Canterbury Office had the opportunity to learn more about dementia and the ways in which they can help.
