A huge well done to our incredible colleagues who took part in the Ashford & District 10- and five Mile Race on Sunday. Participants battled bitter conditions to complete the 10-or-five-mile course. The race, which has a new format for 2026 kept runners on the familiar route taking in the picturesque lanes and surrounding areas such as the pretty village of Westwell, as well as views to the Kent Downs.
Despite the inclement conditions, the atmosphere was brilliant with support from families and the local community as the runners made their way around the course.
Awards were presented by Paul McAleavey, partner in the employment team at Girlings Solicitors, who was especially delighted to present the first female, five-mile award to Girlings trainee solicitor, Jessie Cloughley.
With thanks to race organisers Nice Work for organising and facilitating such a well-run race, and to Ashford & District Road Running Club for hosting another excellent event. Your hard work behind the scenes made the day such a success.
Team Girlings was running to raise money for our charity partner Holding On Letting Go. You can support Team Girlings and donate to the fundraiser here: bit.ly/4rjl1pz
