Congratulations to trained COVID-19 vaccinators Girlings’ HR Manager, Judy Neenan and Legal Secretary, Shirley Brooks who have joined the drive, working in their spare time, to deliver the vaccine to help bring the world one step closer to the one we recognised before the pandemic.

Judy and Shirley both enrolled to become volunteer vaccinators with St John Ambulance. As Judy explains, “I heard about St John’s campaign to recruit volunteers for the vaccination programme on the BBC news and thought “I can do that”. You have to commit to working two shifts per month which are booked using a rostering App’.”

Following 16 hours of rigorous practical and theoretical training they both achieved their Certificates of Achievement and were officially signed off as vaccinators.

Shirley said: “It really feels great to be part of something good which has come out of what has been a very difficult year for many."
