News

Over the course of the year, we will be spotlighting members of Girlings Solicitors’ team, their backgrounds, roles, and unique perspectives, so you can get to know the people that are working hard for you.

Name: Charlotte Parsons
Office: Herne Bay
Job Title: Paralegal

What made you want to become a Dementia Champion?
I attended a Dementia Friends session and I was so moved by the initiative that I was keen to get involved. I want to help start the conversations and get people talking about something which affects so many lives. By doing what I can to reduce the fear and stigma surrounding a diagnosis, I hope I can help people live well with Dementia.

What’s your favourite activity to do locally and why?
I enjoy walking with my partner, Matthew, and our dog Dantè. Having a young dog with lots of energy has encouraged us to get out of the house and explore the local countryside. Our mission for the year is to try and walk (in stages) the Saxon Shore Way.

Can you share three things about you that you think no one here knows?

  • Following a diving course in Thailand I have a PADI diving licence;
  • One of my favourite films is Bugsy Malone; and
  • I love playing board games and I have quite large collection !

What is the one goal you plan to accomplish during your adult lifetime?
To visit the glaciers in New Zealand.

What do you enjoy in your favourite breakfast that you make at home?
During the week I grab a quick bagel or a smoothie but at the weekends I enjoy avocado on toast or pancakes.
