Girlings is delighted to sponsor the Kent Life Food & Drink awards 2020 category Best Local Food & Drink Initiative, and support the awards for the second year running.
Now in its eighth year these popular awards are now one of the biggest events in Kent's foodie calendar. Because of the current circumstance the awards have been adapted to best promote and highlight the county's food and drink sector in these most challenging times. The recognition that the awards provides makes a substantial different to local businesses working in this sector and we are hoping that more people than ever this year will help support the awards and champion our region's outstanding food and drink industry.
Nominations for the awards are now open and the categories are:

- Best Farm Shop
- Butcher of the Year
- Food Producer of the Year
- Drink Producer of the Year
- Best Local Food/Drink Initiative
- Best Local Food/Drink Delivery Experience
- Customer Service Award
- Chef of the Year
- Food & Drink Hero of the Year.

Nominations close on Thursday, 17 September. The winners will this year be announced in the January issue of Kent Life; because of the ongoing crisis, unfortunately the usual awards ceremony will not now be going ahead in November.
