PRESS RELEASE

April 2018

Kent Enterprise Trust is pleased to announce that its Job Club at the Links in Herne Bay is saved from closure following corporate sponsorship from Girlings Solicitors, Lloyds TSB and fundraising events by our dedicated team of staff, trustees and volunteers, who collectively have raised nearly £1,500 towards this much needed service following the closure of Herne Bay Job Centre.

Andrew Watson, Managing Partner of Girlings Solicitors said “”We are pleased to support Kent Enterprise Trust and the vital work it does for the unemployed in the community.”

The Job Club is run by volunteer mentors and provides one to one support to people in Herne Bay to help them overcome their individual challenges to employment through support, opportunities and training to develop their full potential with access to computers provided by Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Sarah Baker, of Lloyds Banking Group said “It is a great pleasure to join Kent Enterprise Trust in their latest fundraising event and match fund to double their efforts.

If you would like to volunteer as a one to one mentor to support our beneficiaries with basic computer skills, reading and writing to enable them to obtain the job that they deserve please get in touch. The service is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am until 2pm by appointment. If you are able to help during these times please contact info@enterprisetrust.org or telephone 01227 844500 to discuss the opportunity.

Mirelle Frost, of Kent Enterprise Trust said “We are delighted to raise funds to continue our Job Club to support people with our longstanding knowledge and skills in this area.
