Girlings is excited to support this year’s Canterbury Pride with you all.

Pride is celebrated across the world throughout the month of June. The movement exists to raise awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community. Pride began in 1970 following protests in the US in 1969, and today celebrates equality, diversity, and inclusivity.

Girlings has been a proud sponsor and supporter of our local Canterbury Pride since its inception. The event, a weekend-long festival which this year is hosted on 10th/11th June, attracts huge interest and support, not least from Canterbury’s independent business community.

At Girlings, we nurture a friendly, kind, and supportive environment for employees and clients alike. We therefore particularly recognise and welcome this year’s Pride theme of creating a safe space, in which ideas can be shared without judgement or prejudice. We value and respect different perspectives, and celebrate people in all their wonderful variety.

Members of the Girlings team are also excited to be participating in the main Canterbury Pride Parade on 10th June, together with associated festival events throughout the weekend. We look forward to seeing you there!
