On Sunday 13th July, staff and family from Girlings Solicitors and Holding On Letting Go (HOLG) walked, ran and ‘egg and spooned’ a full marathon in 3 hours!
We completed the 105+ laps in relay format, keeping the official Girlings baton moving from 9am, finishing just before 12noon.
Trainee solicitor, Jessie Cloughley, started off the day in fine form, followed by independent financial planner, Tracy Furminger, and Sarah Crouch, marketing manager, in a three-legged format. They passed the baton to head of residential conveyancing, Vicki Attwood, before Tracy returned to the track with trainee solicitor Katie Perkins where they completed the next stint together. Marketing executive, Charlotte lambert was up next before Tracy and Sarah completed further ‘three-legged’ laps. Next up was Girlings Partner Chris Brightling (and family) who undertook some super speedy laps together. Marketing executive, Robert Holness, then joined Charlotte and Sarah for a marketing egg and spoon lap, then it was on to James Mackay, followed by HOLG staff Pam Mellor, Margaret and Debbie who completed a further joint egg and spoon lap. This left Thomas Picknell to see the team home!
Well done to all of our participants who helped us reach our goal! And to Lesley Rushton for coming along to cheer the team.
A huge thanks goes to the team at Lifestyle Fitness for use of the running track, as well as their support through the morning.
We were of course running to fundraise for our chosen charity, Holding On Letting Go, if you are able to make a donation to support the team it would be most appreciated!
