Girlings’ Employment Law Specialist Invited to Whitehall Think-Tank Discussion on Agency Workers’ Rights
News

Girlings’ Employment Law expert, Paul McAleavey, has been invited by The Resolution Foundation in Whitehall to speak at a roundtable event on 1 August which will discuss views on agency workers’ rights in the UK.

Resolution Foundation is an independent think tank and charity that undertakes research to improve the living standards of low to middle income households. The Foundation argues that the government should pay more attention to this part of the workforce, while firms themselves may need to rethink their approach in a tight labour market with lower migration - the past ten years have seen a marked increase of more than 40 per cent in the agency workforce with over 800,000 agency workers across the UK.

Paul, a Senior Associate in Girlings’ Employment Law department based at the Firm’s Ashford office, is a familiar face at The Resolution Foundation roundtable events advising on Employment Law issues. He is also a contributor to EmploymentSolicitor.com, writes regularly for and is quoted in the press and radio, most recently in The Times, City A.M. and the Financial Times.

For further advice on this issue contact Paul McAleavey or the Employment Law department.
