Louise qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) in 2008, specialising in land law and domestic conveyancing. She became a Partner in November 2016 and is Head of the Firm's Herne Bay Residential Conveyancing team.
Her career in conveyancing began in 1994 as a legal secretary at Ian Burrow and Co Solicitors, which merged with Girlings Solicitors in 2006. Over this time Louise built up an excellent working relationship with estate agents across Kent; alongside completing the courses, exams and practical experience required to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive.
She also has experience advising on properties across England and acts for clients during the conveyancing process on area-specific additional searches that may be required.
Girlings holds the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme, a recognised quality mark in residential conveyancing and Louise is responsible for providing the statistics required for each annual renewal. She is also part of Girlings’ IT support team with responsibility for the conveyancing case management system and provides relevant training to colleagues.
