With strong Kent connections - she is a past student of Chatham Grammar School for Girls - Caroline went on to study law at Selwyn College, Cambridge. She now has over 30 years’ experience as a Corporate Lawyer and Commercial Solicitor. Caroline was a partner and head of department at previous firms Thomas Eggar, ASB Law and Burstows. She is also an experienced Chair of not for profit organisations. Caroline is a Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer.
She specialises in helping organisations and business owners achieve their strategic goals through business change, succession planning, mergers, acquisitions, disposals, restructuring and joint venture structuring, including cross border. She has dealt with charity formations, charity schemes of arrangement, mergers, trustee disputes and Charity Commission issues including statutory Inquiries and investigations.
She also advises on succession management and commercial contracts. Specialist sector experience includes charity, manufacturing, information technology including social media, insurance, print, travel and aviation.
Her reputation as a trusted advisor has led to a number of high profile non-executive roles. She has been a Chair and Trustee of a number of charities, both local and national and has recently stepped down as Chair of Livability, the UK’s leading Christian disability charity. She is currently Chair of Raven Housing Trust which provides social housing in Surrey and Sussex.
