She has worked in a law firm continuously since the age of 16. During this time she has gained extensive and varied experience of the legal field which includes family, property, criminal and public law departments.
Megan moved to Canterbury in 2014 to study Law at the University of Kent, graduating in 2017 with a first class degree. She then went on to study the Legal Practice Course (LPC) part-time at BPP University, whilst working full-time at a large London law firm which specialised in Family Law. Her work at this Firm developed her knowledge of financial separation and child care arrangements and confirmed a passion for helping clients to achieve their objectives.
Joining Girlings in November 2018, Megan worked first as a Paralegal in our Commercial Property team gaining experience of all aspects of commercial and residential transactions including purchases, sales, company refinances, remortgages and leases.
Megan started her Training Contract with Girlings in September 2019 joining the Family team in Herne Bay.
Megan will assist the Corporate and Commercial team in share and business acquisitions and disposals, business formation and incorporation, share buybacks, shareholders’ agreements and articles of association, and licence and franchise agreements.
Since completing her LPC, Megan has enjoyed having her evenings and weekends back and spends most of them outdoors exploring the Kent coast and countryside.
