He graduated from the University of Kent in 2017 with an upper second class degree in Law. Following this, he studied the LPC at the University of Law in Bloomsbury and graduated in 2018 with a commendation. During his education, Macauley undertook work experience in several firms to apply his learning and develop an understanding of how law firms work in practice.

Macauley Joinied the Canterbury office as a Paralegal in the Residential Property team in September 2019, and continued working in this team when starting his training contract in September 2020. During this time he gained experience in dealing with a variety of freehold and leasehold transactions, including purchases, sales, remortgages and transfers of equity.

In his second seat in Dispute Resolution, Macauley has enjoyed getting involved in all manner of cases, particularly boundary disputes and contentious probate claims.
