Her experience includes the administration of agricultural and more complex estates as well as those more simple to administer. She is also experienced in the preparation of Wills, the preparation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney, registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney and applications to the Court of Protection for Deputyship Orders.
Helen has an extensive understanding of the issues faced by elderly clients, particularly in care home fee planning and mitigation of Inheritance Tax. She is approachable and professional; making sure her clients can make informed decisions whether about planning for the future or dealing with bereavement, both situations which can be difficult at times for clients to negotiate.
She is empathetic and knowledgeable in Private Client work and happy to make home or hospital visits where clients are unable to attend the office and endeavours to meet clients needs quickly and professionally.

She has been a Dementia Friend for many years and is keen to raise awareness of dementia and enable Kent to become Dementia Friendly. She has an empathetic approach to clients with different abilities and an understanding of disabilities.

Helen was born in Hampshire and joined the Metropolitan Police Service for a 20 year career before being retired through injury. She joined a leading law firm in North Wales and studied with the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, gaining Certificates in Private Client Practice and Probate Practice and worked elsewhere in Kent as a Paralegal before joining the Private Client team at Girlings. She is now in her 2nd year of study for an LLB in Legal Practice with City, University of London with a view to qualifying as a Solicitor.
