What My Clients Have Said

Dee has extensive knowledge of working in the care system, a sound working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA) and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.  I highly recommend her.  Former Colleague

It was lovely to meet you too and to know that you are looking after my Mum's interests so thoughtfully and sensitively. Client's daughter

I just wanted to say thank you very much for your help with understanding the situation we were in with dad's death and mum's deteriorating mental health. At a time like this, it can be bewildering as well as stressful and we were glad we had someone like you to turn to for advice.

On supporting a vulnerable adult and concerns of possible financial manipulation Girlings Solicitors were recommended. From the off set they have been thorough and empathetic (particularly Dee Delo) considering the client's welfare and best interests at every stage.  Donna, Senior Recovery Co-ordinator, Care Industry

I wanted to say a huge thank you for everything which you have done for her [mum] over the past year.  Speaking personally, I know that we wouldn’t have been able to achieve half as much as we have without your guidance, support and help.  You have been so professional all the way through the process but managed to also add a personal touch to it all.  Client's daughter

Private Client and Power of Attorney & Court of Protection

Having managed a Local Authority Deputyship team and spent time as a Court of Protection Visitor, Dee can help Deputies comply with their Court Order.

Dee understands that applying to become a Deputy after a relative or friend has lost capacity, can often be a long, emotional and complicated procedure. She also understands that managing the roles and responsibilities that then come with being an appointed Deputy can be complex and some times overwhelming.  Dee can help clients with applictions to the Court of Protection (COP) for the appointment of a Deputy and also how to best manage the responsibilities that come with a Deputyship.

Her work at the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) as a Court of Protection Visitor involved visiting lay and professional Deputies on behalf of the Public Guardian to ensure that the Deputies were adhering to the terms of their Court Order. An important part of her role was to provide Deputies with the support and practical help they needed, in particular to comply with the values of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Allied to her experience at the OPG, Dee also has a sound understanding of the health and social care system.
