Girlings and Scottish Law firm Ennova Law have advised Kent-based toy and game manufacturer Bigjigs Toys Limited on the purchase of the entire issued share capital of Scottish based company, The House of Puzzles Limited.
Girlings’ team provided expert advice regarding the purchase of the target company and was led by Head of Corporate and Commercial, Chris Brightling.
Fellow Corporate and Commercial Partner, Jonathan Masucci, together with Employment Law Partner David Morgan, supported Chris to secure the successful purchase of the target company, with Ennova Law’s John Cumming and Ralph Hardie taking the lead on advising Bigjigs on the commercial property aspects, as well as the intricacies of Scottish Law.
Chris said of the completion: “It was a pleasure to advise Bigjigs on the successful purchase of The House of Puzzles – an acquisition that will be an excellent addition to Bigjigs’ existing portfolio.
Sam has been great to work with, and this deal is the result of his and the rest of the Bigjigs management team’s hard work and dedication. We wish them every success in the future.”
Director and shareholder Sam Ireland said “The legal team, North and South of the border, have done a fantastic job in a challenging time frame. My thanks to them for a job well done. We now look forward to reinvigorating the House of Puzzles brand and giving it the exposure that it deserves”.
The acquisition by Bigjigs Toys Limited of The House of Puzzles Limited is the latest in a long line of recent successful corporate transactions for the team who have a wealth of experience advising SMEs, particularly in Kent and across the South-East.
