Members of staff from Girlings Wills, Tax and Estate Administration team joined local businesses and organisations to share their expertise with carers and their families at the Carers’ Support East Kent event, in Whitstable ahead of Carers Week, an annual campaign week led by Carers UK, which takes place from 8th – 14th June.
The event highlighted the contribution unpaid carers make to those they support while also recognising the challenges they face.
Carers had the opportunity to ask questions and access advice during roundtable sessions with Partner Poppy Blackwell, Associate Solicitor Katie Liber and Trainee Solicitor Katie Perkins. They also spoke to attendees about the importance of having a legally valid Will in place and how Lasting Powers of Attorney can help prevent difficulties and uncertainty in the future.
