Girlings Solicitors provided legal advice on the sale of a leading Kent-based pump specialist

Girlings Solicitors provided legal advice on the sale of Obart Pumps, a leading Kent-based pump specialist which was sold for an undisclosed sum in December to the German subsidiary of a Japanese owned corporation.

The Girlings’ cross disciplinary team, led by Head of Corporate & Commercial, Chris Brightling worked closely with accountants Kreston Reeves’ whose team was headed by their senior partner Andrew Griggs.

Matthew Hill, Managing Director of Obart Pumps said: ‘I found Chris Brightling easy to work with as well as extremely professional, efficient and commercially aware. As a result the restructuring and subsequent sale went smoothly and was far less of a challenge than we thought at first it would be.’
