Girlings’ Legal 500 ranked Corporate and Commercial team shortlisted in the South East Dealmakers Awards 2023
News

Girlings’ Legal 500 ranked Corporate and Commercial team has been shortlisted in the South East Dealmakers Awards 2023, deal of the year category (sub £10m).

The awards, held in February 2023, recognise the outstanding achievements of the professional communities. The team was shortlisted for its work advising its client Adelard LLP on the sale of its business to NCC Group Plc. Adelard LLP, which supports its clients in the area of safety, security and risk management, sold its business to NCC Group Plc, a global cyber and software resilience business.

Girlings’ team provided expert advice regarding the sale of the business to NCC Group Plc and was led by head of Corporate Chris Brightling. Following the announcement of the shortlisting Chris Brightling said:

“We are delighted to be shortlisted for this award alongside Azets who worked on this deal jointly with us. It recognises a great collaboration of both parties and an excellent outcome for our joint client”.

The transaction between Adelard LLP and NCC Group Plc is the latest in a long line of recent successful corporate transactions for the team across Kent and the South East who have a wealth of experience advising SMEs.

Held in February 2023, the South East Dealmaker awards is the premier event for the corporate finance community in the South East. Now in the 17th year - the Awards are a great opportunity to honour and reward the firms, funders and investors that continue to provide excellent advice and support for South East businesses.
