We couldn’t have picked a hotter day for the annual Staff Away Day, but that didn’t stop Girlings staff enjoying the beautiful setting of a Kentish vineyard at Brenley Farm and the wonderful hospitality from Tom and Simon Berry and Susie Buckley. Staff coped valiantly with the 30-degree record breaking heat and retained their enthusiasm and energy throughout the afternoon!

The entire Firm participated in three workshops. The first, hosted by Nick and Bell from Gooey Digital explored the rapid progress of AI and how it will impact the legal sector. The second workshop, hosted by Mark Perkins from Insight6, offered thought and observation on strengthening how we continue to put our clients at the heart of everything we do. The final ‘hands on’ workshop allowed staff to learn about pickling and salad dressings and with two talented chefs who invited staff to make their own oil and dressings. 

Most importantly, it was a great opportunity to spend time together and celebrate the people and culture that make Girlings such a special place to work.

It was a brilliant reminder that, whatever the weather throws at us, it’s our people and team spirit that make days like this so special.
