Girlings Solicitors attended the Kent Dementia Showcase at the Kent Showground, Detling, last week 19 May.

The team, led by Senior Associate Solicitor Ovid Busette, met with members of the community to discuss how best to approach their needs, and provided information to carers, loved ones, family members and other professional bodies in dementia related organisations to offer insight into this specialist area of work.

Ovid is a longstanding Dementia Friend and the Secretary of the Dementia Action Alliance for Canterbury and Ashford (DAACA), who play their part in the Kent initiative 'Working towards being a dementia friendly community'.

With his work at Girlings, Ovid has been recognised for his empathetic approach that ensures clients feel listened to and receive a solution that is tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.

He has also championed a wide range of initiatives to increase awareness of both dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease, including speaking at Canterbury BID events and encouraging local businesses to work to towards becoming Dementia Friendly businesses.
