COVID-19 furlough scheme – cut-off date for new applicants

The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme closes to new entrants from 30 June 2020.

Any employer wishing to furlough an employee must act quickly, as the rules require furlough periods to last for at least three weeks.

So the deadline for placing an employee on furlough will be this Wednesday, 10 June 2020.
