Celebrating a Decade of Pride Canterbury: Our Ongoing Commitment to Community and Inclusion
News

June 2026 marks the 10th anniversary of Pride Canterbury.

This year marked a significant milestone for Pride Canterbury as it celebrated its 10th anniversary, an occasion that reflects the event’s growth, popularity and importance. Tens of thousands of festival goers and around 2,000 parade participants made their way through the cobbled streets of Canterbury arriving at the recently renovated Dane John Gardens.

Parade participants, including staff from Girlings, donned their most vibrant and sparkling outfits, inclusive of garlands and sunglasses – despite the less than tropical weather!

As a firm, we are immensely proud to have supported Pride Canterbury from its very beginning and to have witnessed its evolution into one of the region’s most important and well-loved community events.

Pride Canterbury is far more than a single day of celebration. It represents a sustained commitment to inclusivity, visibility and equality throughout the year. While the annual event brings people together, its wider impact is felt in the ongoing conversations, education and advocacy it inspires across our community.

Supporting initiatives such as Pride Canterbury is an important way that businesses like ours can demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion in a meaningful and authentic way in order to foster understanding, respect and unity.

We are already looking forward to Pride Canterbury 2027!
