In June 2011 Girlings' long association with Kent County Cricket Club was further strengthened by the signing of a two year sponsorship agreement.  Kent Cricket CEO, Jamie Clifford commented that, ‘it is pleasing to have formalised our partnership with Girlings. They have provided outstanding service, protecting our interests and ensuring that we are up to date with legal requirements as a sports body, employer and event organiser. They also provided all the legal advice for the ground redevelopment project.’

Girlings partner Chris Page noted that Girlings, along with the Cricket Club, have been a feature of Canterbury and Kent for well over a century. ‘We are delighted to have been appointed as the Club's official legal partner and look forward to working closely with them, their members and supporters.  As a firm proudly based in Kent, we are pleased to be playing our part in supporting our County team'.
